Rasha Hasan

Dr. Rasha obtained her PhD in Computer Science from PUCRS (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul) university in Brazil and obtained her Master degree in Networks and Systems Architecture from INSA institute in France (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées). Her bachelor degree is in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

She worked as a researcher in LAAS-CNRS laboratory in France (Laboratoire d’Analyse et d’Architecture des Systèmes-Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), and worked earlier as a Network Engineer where she excelled work in real-life scenarios. Dr. Rasha is currently practicing her duties as Assistant Professor in Liwa College in UAE.

Dr. Rasha’s research expertise spans across multiple fields, including Networking, Protocols, Traffic Engineering, Internet of Things, Optimization, and Wireless Sensers Networks. She is currently running two sponsored projects: (1) collaboration with counterpart in Canada-research objective is deploying IoT for pipelines monitoring in UAE, and (2) collaboration with colleagues in ADU and ZU universities in UAE- research objective is designing and developing cyphers for secure aviation communication.

Dr. Rasha has attended, presented in, organized, and chaired various SCOPUS indexed conferences in several countries, including, Spain, France, Brazil, Maldives, Morocco, and UAE.
